Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian open dual restaurant in Penrith (Sydney)

It seems the fast-casual arm of Rockpool Dining Group isn’t set to slow down anytime soon. Last year the group debuted sister spin-offs for Fratelli Fresh – the DIY pizza joint Fratelli Famous – and German favourite Bavarian Bier CaféThe Bavarian. Both were blended into a dual venue in the central surrounds of World Square, a concept which has proved so popular that it’s now being mirrored in Westfield Penrith.

With the dual venue opening on Monday of this week, Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian have officially added to the steadily improving dining scene one of Sydney’s western most hubs, co-joined to offer locals and visitors diversity though maintaining two distinctive flavours and interior designs.

Generous indoor and outdoor seating define the blended space, anchored by a communal bar while on one side Fratelli Famous offer thin and crispy bases for which customers choose from a huge range of toppings, and on the other The Bavarian flexes its meaty menu with schnitzels, burgers, house-made sausages and hotdogs.

11 locally brewed craft beers from Urban Craft Brewing Co. has also made the trip out west, sitting nicely on The Bavarians drinks list and making nice tie-ins for specials like “Schnit Blitz Tuesdays” where anyone can buy a schnitzel and 300mL craft beer for $20. Of course, each can be purchased separately as well.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing our Famous pizzas and much-loved Bavarian fast-casual offering to Penrith, which will deliver quick, convenient and affordable dining options and create around 35 jobs” said Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash.
