Design & Setup
Out of the box, the iGO Cam 63R keeps things uncluttered. The main unit features a clean 3-inch LCD screen on the back, allowing quick framing checks and instant playback without forcing you to immediately open a phone app or pull the SD card.
Mounting is painless thanks to the magnetic slide bracket. It secures firmly to the windscreen via adhesive, while letting you easily pop the camera body off when parking in risky areas or transferring it between vehicles. Being that I frequently move between 3 different vehicles, it was surprisingly easy and stress-free to do this with minimal issues.
Crucially for Australian drivers, Uniden opted for a supercapacitor instead of a traditional lithium-ion battery. Lithium batteries hate hot dashboards; supercapacitors handle severe summer heat without swelling or failing, ensuring files save cleanly when power cuts.
The rear camera is rated IP67 waterproof, meaning you can mount it externally near the license plate or internally on the rear windscreen using the included 5.5m cable.
