Wunderhorse to bring “Midas” to Australia and New Zealand this September

Fresh off the back of their searing 2024 record Midas, UK outfit Wunderhorse are heading our way. Originally slated to join fellow scene-mates Fontaines D.C. earlier this year, the Cornwall four-piece wasted no time in making up for their absence by locking in a string of headline shows across Australia and New Zealand this September.

It’s the latest pit-stop in their sharp ascent, following their huge 2022 debut Cub. Midas feels like a fully formed sophomore record, the 10-tracker rife with often devastating sentiments backed by simple chords. Recorded at the iconic Pachyderm Studio (the same room that birthed Nirvana’s In Utero), the album captures Wunderhorse at their most direct. It cracked the UK Top 10, earned praise for its stunning intensity, and paved the way for a headline run plus a string of arena shows alongside Sam Fender.

Frontman Jacob Slater puts it best: “We wanted it to sound like your face is pressed up against the amp. No frills, no polish—just pure, uncut rock’n’roll.” And that’s exactly what you can expect, a band that’s loud, loose, and completely locked-in.

Presented by Handsome Tours, the run kicks off in Auckland before heading through Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and wrapping up in Perth.

General ticket release is tomorrow Thursday 10 April at 10am local time!
