Bruno Mars is officially heading back Down Under, and he’s bringing some very good company with him.
The 16-time Grammy Award winner has expanded his mammoth The Romantic Tour, confirming a run of Australian and New Zealand stadium dates for February and March 2027. And, as if Mars returning to our shores wasn’t enough of a drawcard, Tyla will join every Australian and New Zealand show as special guest, while Anderson .Paak will be along for the ride in his DJ Pee .Wee guise.
There’s also the promise of a special performance from Silk Sonic, making the reunion of Mars and .Paak one of the particularly enticing elements of the newly announced shows.
The Australian leg kicks off at Perth’s Optus Stadium on Saturday, February 13th, before Mars heads to Melbourne for two nights at Marvel Stadium on Friday, February 19th and Saturday, February 20th.
Brisbane gets its turn when The Romantic Tour takes over Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, February 28th, followed by two Sydney shows at Accor Stadium on Thursday, March 4th and Friday, March 5th. The Australia and New Zealand run then wraps at Auckland’s Eden Park on Saturday, March 13th.

The announcement comes as Mars is already in the midst of a staggering global run. His first headline tour in almost a decade launched with two sold-out Las Vegas performances in April and has since moved through stadiums across North America, Europe and the UK. With the latest additions, The Romantic Tour now stretches beyond 115 stadium shows worldwide.
Demand has been predictably enormous. The tour delivered the largest single-day ticket sales in Live Nation history across North America, Europe and the UK, while 2.1 million tickets sold in a single day established a new Ticketmaster record.
The 2027 Australian dates also mark Mars’ latest return to a country where he has already enjoyed considerable touring success. His previous international run included Australia alongside extensive dates throughout Asia, the Middle East and South America, while his appetite for increasingly enormous live shows has only grown in the years since.
And this time around, the support bill makes the prospect of a Bruno Mars stadium show feel even bigger.
South African superstar Tyla has enjoyed a meteoric rise since “Water” became a global phenomenon, subsequently earning her first Grammy and establishing her as one of pop’s most exciting new international performers. Her inclusion across the entire Australian and New Zealand run should make these shows feel considerably more like a full-scale event than a traditional headline-and-support affair.
Then there’s Anderson .Paak.
Mars’ Silk Sonic collaborator will appear on every newly announced date as DJ Pee .Wee, with the pair also teasing a special Silk Sonic performance. Given the chemistry that powered An Evening with Silk Sonic – and the seemingly effortless showmanship both artists bring to the stage – it’s difficult to imagine those moments being anything less than a highlight.
The tour arrives following the release of Mars’ fourth solo album, The Romantic, which delivered the biggest album debut of his career. It became his first record to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and his second chart-topper overall, following Unorthodox Jukebox.
The album has already produced another string of major hits, including “I Just Might” – Mars’ tenth No. 1 single and his first to debut in the top position – and “Risk It All”, which topped the Billboard Global 200.
Of course, Mars arrives with a catalogue that hardly needs further introduction. From “Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade” through “Locked Out of Heaven”, “Uptown Funk”, “That’s What I Like” and “24K Magic”, his career has produced the type of setlist seemingly engineered for tens of thousands of people to sing along with at once.
More recently, collaborations with Lady Gaga on “Die with a Smile” and ROSÉ on “APT.” have only reinforced his ability to remain at the centre of pop culture more than 15 years after his breakthrough.
Australia now gets to experience the latest evolution of that live show – and judging by the scale of The Romantic Tour elsewhere in the world, Mars certainly isn’t thinking small.
Artist presale tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 2nd, with fans required to register by Sunday, August 30th at 11:59pm local time. General tickets go on sale Friday, September 4th.
Australian presale and general sale times are 12pm for Sydney, 1pm for Brisbane and 2pm for Melbourne and Perth, while Auckland tickets go on sale at 11am local time.
