Track of the Day: Tei Shi Feat. Blood Orange “Even If It Hurts” (2019)

With a new album coming next month, Tei Shi has followed up singles “A Kiss Goodbye” and “Red Light” with a blissful pop track named “Even If It Hurts”.

Worked up with Blood Orange mastermind Dev Hynes and producer Noah Breakfast, the springy groove chooses love over vulnerability, with the Colombian-Canadian singer stating that “the concept is really the realization and acceptance that pain is a natural consequence of love”.

The track has been lifted from her forthcoming album La Linda, which will arrive mid-November and will feature both “A Kiss Goodbye” and “Red Light”, making “Even If It Hurts” the third – and superior – single.
