The final 11th AMP Longlist soon to be announced – artists encouraged to submit their 2015 releases!

The 11th Australian Music Prize is currently having its longlist formed and deliberated upon by this year’s panel of artists, journalists and retailers, with the final announcement soon to be revealed. For any artist who has released a record in 2015 and is contemplating whether or not to submit their album for consideration, now is the time to get your music in. Last year, a whopping 65 albums were announced in the AMP’s longlist and with this year’s pool of records only growing in number and musical diversity, we can expect some great names to feature on the list for the 2016 prize.

To have your album in for consideration, all you need to do is the following:

Send an email through to [email protected] with the artist name, album title, release date and a link to where the judges can listen to the record.

The artist must be an Australian, the album must be at least nine tracks long (33 1/3 minutes of music) and the album must be a new release of 2015. The winning artist will take home $30,000 prize money thanks to the PPCA. Check out the albums already longlisted – the AMP’s short list announcement will be made in January, with the final result being unveiled in March.
