Venice Trip

Website / Social Media:

Facebook / Soundcloud

Genre:
Psychedelic Rhythm & Blues

Members & their roles:
Andrés Alcover – vocals and guitar; Shenny – keys and vocals; Nick GK – bass; Joe Wood – drums and percussion

What music or artists inspired you?
We’re big fans of the psychedelic resurgence going on at the moment, particularly in Australia. But our tastes are quite broad – Barrett’s Floyd, Kevin Ayers, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, The Doors, the Beatles, Temples, Mystery Jets, Tame Impala, Magic Castles, Can, The Babe Rainbow, Neu!, Jacco Gardner…

How did the band get started?
Andrés came over to London from Spain to study, although this was really just an excuse to form a band. We all met during our first month in the city and have been together since.

How would you best describe your live show:
Passionate, dynamic; like the record brought to life.

What shows do you have coming up?
Keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
That would be Look Forward. It’s where we started to take the right direction with our sound. The record is a journey through our experiences of youth and life in London, the struggles, the dreams, love and hedonism.
