Single of the Day: Tove Styrke “Changed My Mind” (2018)

Sweden’s Tove Styrke is an artist we first came across back at SXSW in 2015. First memory of her is her ballsy rendition of should-be club anthem, “Even if I’m Loud it Doesn’t Mean I’m Talking to You”. Second memory of Styrke is the presence she brought to the tiny stage – a striking performer with oodles of charm and bags of ferocity to match, it’s no surprise that Styrke’s profile would continued to generate some serious momentum.

It’s great to see that such a momentum has finally reached Australian audiences, as details of Styrke’s debut Aussie tour dates have been revealed today. For a taste of what sort of music you can expect, take a listen to “Changed My Mind”, below. Glossy, well produced and having all the hallmarks of the strong pop music that it’s currently rotating alongside (think cuts by Lorde, Linnea Henrikssen), “Changed My Mind” is a great single to amp up our excitement levels for Styrke’s first Australian shows in April.
