This year’s Red Deer Festival returns to Brisbane this October for another surefire blinder of a BYO weekender while also providing a platform for some great emerging, and greatly-missed, Aussie talent to do their thing on this ‘Space Oddity’.

Sure, the theme of Red Deer this year may be shooting for the stars but bear in mind, this is going to be another locally grown festival worthy of the acclaim. Headlining Red Deer this year are The Preatures, who have emerged after some time out of the spotlight with new music and a new show ready to go. Also emerging after some time away is Brisbane’s own, The Kite String Tangle. With these two heading up the bill, Red Deer have got a specially curated live music experience on the way for punters.

Check out who else is on the festival below.

The Preatures
The Kite String Tangle
Band of Frequencies
Shag Rock
Leanne Tennant
Fire and Whistle Theory
Josh Mcnz
Natalie Welch
Mitch Baskerville

Plus the Red Deer Residence featuring: The Lyrical, The Dashounds, DJ Blake Thompson

For the first time in its history, Red Deer will be featuring a third live stage area as well as more art installations and an immersive camping experience. A focus on emerging regional artists will be key with this third stage, with it playing host to some undeniably entertaining new talent.

Festival goers are encouraged to embrace Red Deer’s ‘Space Oddity’ theme fully – dress up and get amongst it to win some exclusive prizes! For more festival information and an idea on what ticket works best for you, visit

October 14th – Mt. Samson, Queensland.

The festival is an 18+ event. BYO alcohol, lounge and inflatable furniture and camping equipment!
