Queenscliff Music Festival unveils artist announcement for 2016

The Queenscliff Music Festival has unveiled its first artist announcement for their huge 20th birthday celebration in 2016 and yep, it’s got us wanting to go and join in the fun.

News of Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals‘ headline set on Sunday already broke this week, but the rest of the artist announcement we’ve received today also comes oozing quality quite strongly.

Some legendary names of the Australian music industry are also stopping by the 2016 QMF this year, including Paul Kelly and Charlie Owen, who will be premiering songs from a new collaboration of theirs – it’s the first time Queenscliff Music Festival fans will have seen Kelly on the hallowed QMF stage since 2007, no doubt this show is going to be a special one. Also notably, Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos will be performing tunes from Garrett’s new solo album A Version of Now, giving punters the opportunity to see his all-star band in full flight as well.

This first artist announcement also includes the wildly talented AlpineUrthboyAbbe May and Julia Jacklin in the mix, making for quite the diverse initial line up reveal. With four, yes four, more artist announcements to come, the Queenscliff Music Festival crew are definitely lining up one unforgettable anniversary event and we can’t wait to see the rest of it!

Early bird tickets for the festival are currently on sale for $190 (3-day adult pass) until July 1st. General release weekend and single day tickets are on sale from July 1st. There are also tickets available for teenagers (14-17 years old), while kids under 13 are free! For more information on what ticket package would be the most suited to you, head HERE.
