JPEGMAFIA and A. G. Cook are set to headline a new east coast touring event, PRESSURE POINT, in March 2027, with the inaugural lineup also featuring hardcore outfit Trash Talk, noise-pop trio feeble little horse, and local acts Shady Nasty, xiao xiao and FUKHED. The three-date run will mark the Australian debut of both A. G. Cook and feeble little horse, with JPEGMAFIA and Cook playing their only Australian shows of 2027.
Presented by I OH YOU and MG Live, PRESSURE POINT will kick off at PICA in Melbourne/Naarm, before heading to Sydney/Eora’s Hordern Pavilion and Brisbane/Meanjin‘s Fortitude Music Hall. The event smashes together all the best bits of the underground, spanning hardcore, post-punk, hip-hop and the electronic scene.
“We hope this event will act as a place to celebrate the shared spirit and energy of those genres” explain promoters Johann Ponniah, Founder/Director of I OH YOU, and Sam Rogers, Director of Touring at MG Live.
Heading up the lineup, JPEGMAFIA has built a reputation for his boundary-pushing approach to experimental rap, pairing sharp lyricism with often wild production. His catalogue expands beyond the ordinary, including a collaborative album with Danny Brown, alongside credits with artists such as Gorillaz, Playboi Carti and Tinashe. Known for his high-energy live sets, JPEGMAFIA has also dominated festival stages, including our own Splendour in the Grass, plus Primavera Sound and Lollapalooza.
Joining him is British producer A. G. Cook, the founder of household name PC Music, who has helped shape the sound of hyperpop through his razor-sharp production and an endless list of high-profile writing credits. A longtime collaborator of Charli XCX, Cook contributed to her Grammy-winning album BRAT. His other work includes his acclaimed 2024 album Britpop, alongside songwriting and production credits on Beyoncé‘s Renaissance.
The lineup also features Sacramento hardcore outfit Trash Talk, who formed in 2005 and have built their sound around an aggressive, explosive sound and an unrelenting live presence. Pittsburgh trio feeble little horse will make their Australian debut off the back of their third album, bitknot, released earlier this year.
Representing the local scene is Sydney outfit Shady Nasty, whose 2025 debut album TREK draws on punk, hip-hop and left-of-centre jazz influences, alongside Sydney project xiao xiao, who bring together influences from both post-punk and trip-hop. Rounding out the lineup is producer and tastemaker FUKHED, whose high-drive techno sets have seen her perform at Field Day, BTV and Mode, alongside live mixes for triple j.
If that doesn’t sound impressive enough, PRESSURE POINT will also support youth organisation Minus18, with $1 from every ticket sold going towards the organisation.
