Get those planners out because the playing times for this year’s The Gum Ball Music and Arts Festival, from 22-24 April, is here! Taking place over the long weekend at Dashville, festival goers will be treated to three days and two nights of live music and arts, following successful runs in previous years attracting capacity crowds of around 2500.
The opening night of the festival is headlined by acclaimed ARIA award-winning powerhouse Dan Sultan (10.10pm) and Indigenous electro dub outfit OKA (11.10pm). The festival opens with performances by Australia’s next crop of musical trailblazers Sydney grit blues duo Polish Club (6.50pm), Brisbane psych-rockers The Belligerents (7.40pm), blue-eyed soul group Sex on Toast (8.30pm) and the 10-piece instrumental hypo funk of The Cactus Channel (9.20pm).
Saturday is also packed full with esteemed musicians such as surf rock supergroup The Break (7.45pm) and Aussie rockers You Am I (10.45pm). Modern country rock outlaw William Crighton (8.45pm) will be there to launch his debut record.
Tickets are almost sold out for the 2016 addition of this popular local-focused festival, so if you were thinking of grabbing one up now is the time!
