Moose Blood‘s “Have I Told You Enough” comes at the perfect time in our week. We’re ready to knock off and get a song with a massive hook and chorus into our lungs. This tune, in its power-through nature and melody, does the trick. Written about his relationship with his young daughter, vocalist Eddy Brewerton poured the pangs of heartache coming from being away from her on the road into this jam.
“She is getting older now and is finding me being away for months at a time harder than she did before.” he has said. “I just wanted to write a song that she could always listen to and know that she is everything to me.”
The lyrics are pretty straight forward and uncensored, Brewerton wears heart on sleeve. Also released alongside, is the music video for “Have I Told You Enough”, directed by Lewis Cater. Taking on a bit of a Black Mirror-esque feel, we meet a protagonist in a future probably not so distant from now, ruled over by technology, dictating his moves and relationship.
