Lou & Phoebe chat about Alpine’s 2015 & where they hope to take their music in the New Year!

Sitting down with Larry at Festival of the Sun in Port Macquarie near the end of 2015, the ladies of Alpine reflected on their year of touring, releasing Yuck and how their round of overseas touring affected them all individually as musicians.

“We did have quite a while away,” Lou says. “We were touring the States and then we took a year to write the new album. I guess, when you’re touring as much as we were here, having that break was what we needed, just to refresh and have that platform to say, ‘Okay – where do we want to go with this?’. ”

“I think we had learned a little bit more, especially through touring.” Phoebe adds. “Your first years of being in a band and having a certain level of ‘success’ or being able to tour nationally and internationally teaches you a lot about what you want to do, how you want to sing, perform and dance and portray yourself and relax into it. It’s a really interesting process.”
