Indie Week 2017 opens up expressions of interest

The Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR), Sounds Australia, and the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia Limited (PPCA) are teaming up once again to lead a group of ten Australian independent record label representatives to Indie Week 2017, held in New York from 5-9 June. Tailored towards independent record labels and service providers, Indie Week is an invite-only conference organised by the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), focusing on the issues of exploitation of master recordings, licensing, networking, and music in the digital world.

AIR, Sounds Australia, and PPCA have been leading the Australian delegations to the annual conference since 2013, and are currently looking to form their 2017 team. With Sounds Australia covering the conference’s registration costs, the selected group of ten delegates will be able to participate in various executive one-on-one sessions, attend industry panel discussions, receptions, as well as the 2017 A2IM Libera Awards.

To submit an expression of interest to join the 2017 Australian delegation, interested parties are required to complete and submit a short online survey by 5pm Monday 13 February 2017. More information on how to join the Australian delegation for Indie Week 2017 can be found here.
