South Australia’s McLaren Vale wine region will host a veritable smorgasbord of Australian musical talent for the inaugural Garage Days Festival in February 2027. Performing at the event will be Spiderbait, Jebediah, The Potbelleez, Gyroscope, The Delta Riggs and The Lizards. It’s the soundtrack to a generation.
The event happens at Richard Hamilton Wines on Saturday 6 February 2027. It’s an all-ages day festival, running from 3pm – 10pm. The festival offers a more relaxed winery experience than the usual hype, with food, wine and music in a family-friendly environment. For the generation that grew up with the sounds of these bands, it would be a perfect way to introduce their families to these great Australian sounds.
Most of these bands need no further introduction. Spiderbait have been a favourite for years. “Black Betty”, “Buy Me a Pony” and “Calypso” are all songs we love to groove along to.
Likewise, Perth band Jebediah have been mainstays in our musical lives. If you want the party to keep going, look no further than electro-pop favourites The Potbelleez. Rock outfit Gyroscope always keep the energy levels up, while The Delta Riggs’ familiar sounds will keep the toes tapping. South Australian favourites The Lizards round out the live lineup, with Adelaide MC/DJ JAKIJ keeping things moving between sets.
The lineup captures the eclectic spirit of an era when Australian rock, indie, punk, dance and alternative music collided.
Garage Days takes place at Richard Hamilton Wines, McLaren Vale, South Australia, on Saturday, 6 February 2027.
