Exclusive Single Premiere: Yazmindi “Talk” (2022)

Yazmindi

Indie-folk rocker Yazmindi hails from Byron Bay and is about to release her latest single, “Talk”. The track oozes swagger and a vibrant melody, where she gives some straight-up advice – you are good enough, you don’t need to pretend to be something you aren’t. We are stoked to be premiering it ahead of its release tomorrow.

There’s a confidence and just the right amount of attitude. I’m along for the ride – be your true self! With vocals that rock, some neat percussion and a wee bit of harmonica, “Talk” will be a punchy addition to her setlist.

Of the track, Yazmindi writes: “‘Talk’ is my societal view of the pressures of modern dating that I wrote when I turned 18 and started going out for the first time. It’s about my experience observing people’s interactions and it’s my take on the image based society of today.”

Yazmindi has graced some epic stages. She’s been to South By Southwest, not once but twice. Woodford Folk Festival is also on the resume. She is able to cross genre and her songs are a sweet blend of pop, rock and soul accompanied by her harmonica and stomp box.

She was born in Cooktown in Far North Queensland, but now calls the creative hub of Byron Bay her home.

Do enjoy our premiere ahead of its release tomorrow.
