Georgeous guitars and an uplifting mesage is at the core of “Love Is So Easy”, the romantic new single from Darkinjung/Central Coast-based indie-folk artist Joel Leggett. We are thrilled today to have the exclusive first listen of this glistening ode to the joy of love.
“Love Is So Easy” is a song imbued with gratitude and optimism. Joel’s vocals have a warmth and the finger-picking on the guitar is outstanding. There is a joie de vivre that can’t help but win over even the most disheartened.
About the track, Joel writes: “It’s so easy to fall in love with how good life can look through other people’s screens. Staying off our phones these days seems to be a superpower. It feels like they have been stitched into our DNA and have been made so essential in this life. I believe we all need to support each other and spread love because that’s such an easy thing to do. In the end, all we really have is each other. And dogs.”
The track was produced and mixed at the fabled Grove Studios by Jack Nigro.
We also have the video for “Love Is So Easy”. It was filmed, directed and edited by Harry Wills and James Quigley of Search Media. As a changeup from the usual, it shows Joel in the studio where the magic happened. “It shows the live and raw process of recording my single ‘Love Is So Easy’ from arrival to departure,” comments Joel. “I was so lucky to be creative with friends and managers visiting the studio and getting involved with the process.” . The video is a great insight to the instrumentation on the track, and a cracking advertisment for Grove Studios, just quietly.
To celebrate the release of the track, Joel has some shows organised on the East Coast of NSW in late March, early April. Details are below.
