Exclusive Single Premiere: Blush Response “Still Life” (2018)

If you’ve been following Adelaide’s Blush Response over the last year and a bit in particular, chances are you’ve had the same question we’ve had: where’s the album??

Thankfully, the wait is ~somewhat~ over. The band’s long awaited debut effort, Hearts Grow Dull, is due out this April and from it, we’re stoked to hear the first single in “Still Life”. Marrying a great pop sensibility with the penchant for fuzz and reverb Blush Response have long been known (and lauded) for, “Still Life” is dreamy as all hell, while also screaming freshness and a reinvigorated flair when it comes to the musical direction Blush Response are taking, moving forward.

Beauty often comes in subtlety, and this is all too true with “Still Life”. The vocal harmonies are blissful, while the wall of noise constructed by the band isn’t crushing, it’s delicately crumbling around as the song plays out.
