Celebrate 25 years of Filthy Lucre’s “Treaty” remix with Yothu Yindi & The Treaty Project

A special show is coming to Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom on November 19th, with Yothu Yindi reuniting with Filthy Lucre‘s Gavin Campbell and a variety of special guests under the moniker of The Treaty Project. Celebrating 25 years of the iconic Filthy Lucre remix of “Treaty”, the show commemorates the newly released remix package as the band will take the crowd through Yothu Yindi’s hits and some brand new material along the way.

For a lot of us, “Treaty” came out when we weren’t quite old enough to understand its wider significance but in the years that have followed, the impact Yothu Yindi and the song has had on contemporary Australian culture has been mammoth in scale.

This special Melbourne show will see founding members Witiyana MarikaStuart Kellaway and Malngay Yunupingu joined by YirrmalConstantina Bush and Yirrnga YunupinguMegan Bernard and Ania Reynolds complete the live line up on saxophone and keyboards, respectively.

Supporting on the evening is the talented Benny Walker, while Campbell himself will DJ after the headline set. Tickets are on sale now via Oztix – don’t miss out on this one!
