Bad Friday Interview: Haiku Hands (AUS) on their collective’s creation and their upcoming album

Haiku Hands almost set the stage alight with their fiery energy at Bad Friday Festival. The Sydney-Melbourne collective is most well-known for their infectiously tireless performances filled with fun choreography and an array of masks. We got to catch up with them after their packed-out set to talk about how these artists came together to create Haiku Hands and what’s on the horizon for the team.

The group have been unstoppable since the release of their dance track, “Not About You”, in 2017. Their dynamism was on full display at the festival, drawing a particularly rambunctious crowd to their packed out set on The Smirnoff Stage. But, delivering killer sets is one thing, delivering haikus are another. During our catch up behind-the-scenes we decided to put those haiku skills to the test on the fly. You can check out whether they do their name proud below.

The 10th Anniversary edition of Bad Friday took place at Railway Parade in Marrickville, Sydney on Friday April 19th 2019. You can find our review of the event HERE and a gallery of all the highlights HERE.

You can find Haiku Hands on Facebook, Twitter and via their Official Site. Their latest single, “Dare You Not To Dance” is available now.
