The PAX AUS 2016 Schedule is now live. Plan your weekend accordingly.

PAX Australia 2016 has released its final schedule this morning, allowing punters to start planning their whereabouts for the massive three-day convention. Tourneys, panels, tutorials and concerts — so much to see, and only three days to see it in.

While the Wombat Theatre remains a strong panel home in 2016 with 28 Plays Later, Loading Ready Run and RIOT Games all taking up residence, it’s the Drop Bear, Galah and Kookaburra Theatres upstairs that are still the home of the show’s best and most intimate panels.

I mean, here’s a sample from the Dropbear Theatre: a panel on games as a 21st Century educational tool, a walkthrough on the creation of music in DOOM, a discussion on the Australian eSports scene and a roundtable of VR developers getting real about the platform’s chances and what its strengths and weaknesses are.

That’s all on Day One. Seriously, if you’re looking for stimulating and exciting panels, go upstairs. Every year I come away from these panels thrilled and energised about the games industry, especially the work being done here at home. I promise you won’t regret it.

We’re pumped to see the Saturday Night Concerts return, especially PAX veterans, Brisbane locals and all-around good guys 7bit Hero (who are promising a VR component to their show this year!).

You can view the schedule for yourself right here. You can also download the updated app on iOS and Android right now and begin planning there too.

See you on November 4, fam.
