SXSW 2017: The SXSW Accelerator winners have been announced

The SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event is designed to give 50 young startups the opportunity to pitch their ideas and potential killer apps to a live audience and get instant feedback. This year’s contestants were broken down into groups of five across ten categories, and we now have the winners.

Here’s the full list:

“Enterprise & Smart Data”: Deep 6 Analytics
“Entertainment & Content”: Laugh.ly
“Health & Wearables”: Sound Scouts
“Innovative World”: Thimble.io
“Payment & FinTech”: CNote
“Security & Privacy”: UnifyID
“Social & Culture”: Lily
“Sports”: Brizi
“Transportation”: SPLT

Special awards were presented for “Best Bootstrap” (Kymira), “Most Innovative” (Helixworks Technologies) and “Best Speed Pitch” (Lexody).

The grand prize winners took home $4000, a pair of badges for the 2017 SXSW Interactive show, a trophy and numerous sponsor gifts. Congratulations to all the winners and we’re sure we’ll be using your apps on all our phones soon.
