Overwatch‘s newest map Oasis is now live

With the Winter Wonderland holiday event now firmly in the rear-view mirror, Blizzard Entertainment have moved on to Overwatch‘s next big thing. Oasis, a Control-style map set in the Arabian Desert has finally made the jump from the Public Test Realm to the main game and you can play it right now.

The map sports three control points and is bringing back one of the team shooter genre’s most beloved tropes — the jump pad. While in the PTR, Oasis quickly became known for another defining feature — a highway that runs alongside the first point, filled with cars that will insta-kill any character careless enough to get near them. You can get a better look at the map in the preview video above.

Below is the official Blizzard blurb on the map:

Researchers and academics from around the region came together to found a city dedicated to scientific progress without restraints — a monument to human ingenuity and invention. The city and its inhabitants are governed by the Ministries, a collection of brilliant minds who possess many secrets that have attracted the interest of powerful organizations from around the world.

The Oasis update is now live on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
