Battlefield 6 has officially been revealed

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have revealed the first official look at Battlefield 6 with a brand new trailer, highlighting its new campaign.

The trailer shows the United States President addressing U.S. citizens regarding a recent attack by the group Pax Armata, which appears to be at odds with NATO prior to the events of this trailer.

What follows is relatively vague, as we see what we presume are U.S. troops taking the fight to Pax Armata. There’s plenty of action, explosions and collapsing buildings, hinting towards the impressive amount of procedurally generated destruction that these environments will endure.

The trailer is also set to a cool rendition of Bob Dylan’s song Masters of War, which is infused with the classic Battlefield theme. Check it out for yourself below:

Understandably, Battlefield 6 is returning to a current or modern warfare setting, given the lacklustre reception and prolonged success of Battlefield 2042.

We’ll also be receiving a dedicated multiplayer gameplay reveal next week on the 31st of July, which we’ve popped below as well:

While the game can be wishlisted at the time of writing, recent reports seem to confirm various rumours based on the release date of the game. While no official release date has been announced, a pre-order offer will be available until the 10th of October, which seems to point towards a date.
