There’s something undeniably magical about Old Hollywood romance – and for Melbourne-based creative Cassidy Krygger, that magic has come full circle.
After years of admiring the timeless charm of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Krygger has brought her own modern interpretation to life with Love in the Moonlight, a supernatural romantic comedy set to premiere globally on YouTube on Sunday, 26th April 2026. Following the debut, audiences can tune in to a live Q&A streaming straight from Hollywood, California.
The film stars Neighbours favourite Matty Wilson, best known for his long-running role as Aaron Brennan, alongside Krygger herself, who also co-wrote and executive produced the project. Behind the camera, filmmaker Jonathan Zsofi — Executive Director of the Cineverse Film Festival – co-wrote, directed, and executive produced the piece.
Rather than a full-length feature (for now), Love in the Moonlight arrives as a three-minute proof-of-concept – a glimpse into a larger story currently in development. It’s a stylish introduction to a world that moves between present-day Melbourne and the golden glow of classic Hollywood.

At its heart is Samantha (Krygger), an ambitious event manager who inherits a grand, long-forgotten estate. What she doesn’t expect is Jack Stirling (Wilson) – a charming 1950s film star who has been haunting the property since his mysterious death. Their first meeting sparks with wit, tension, and something neither can quite explain, setting the tone for a romance that crosses both time and reality.
For Krygger, the project is deeply personal. Alongside building her career as a writer, producer, and performer, she has been open about living with Multiple Sclerosis – balancing ongoing health challenges with an impressive creative output. She is also the founder of Hollywoodland Photos, a thriving online community dedicated to classic cinema that has grown to over half a million followers across platforms.
That built-in audience, which includes high-profile fans, means Love in the Moonlight already has a global spotlight waiting.
Following the premiere, Krygger and Wilson will sit down for a live conversation with classic film expert and broadcaster John Joseph. Streaming directly from Hollywood, the Q&A will explore the film’s inspirations, its Old Hollywood roots, and what’s next for the feature-length version.
Love in the Moonlight premieres free on YouTube on Sunday, 26th April 2026 at 1:00 PM AEST.
