As we introduce yet another feature to The AU Review, there are plenty of things to be excited about over the next month. What are they, exactly? Well, read on...
1. Digitalism Australian Tour
For the longest time, the German duo have played across the nation at various festivals including Parklife and Field Day, but it is a rare occasion to see them perform at a standalone event. For that reason, it would be worth your while to catch them at one of their sideshows, starting from tomorrow! Tickets are available at moshtix.com.au.
2. Interview with Josh Pyke
We will be speaking to Josh Pyke, one of Australia's most prolific singer-songwriters, to catch up with him and find out what's in the near future for the musician, as well as just looking forward to having a good ol' chin wag. Stay tuned for more on this interview!
3. Sydney Comedy Festival (April 24 - May 12)
Some of the biggest and best comedians are touring as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival, including Stephen K Amos, Akmal Saleh, Frank Woodley, Ross Noble, Axis of Awesome and also an annual Yo Mama Battle, which promises to send you in stitches. It ends very soon, so time is running out!

6. Boy & Bear 'Remembering The Mexican' Australian Tour
To coincide with the massive success of their debut album, Moonfire, the boys from Sydney will be extensively touring the country throughout May and a second time 'round in June to more remote locations. This means there is no excuse to miss out on seeing Boy & Bear live as they continue to move from strength to strength, amongst all their accolades.
7. Silversun Pickups release Neck of the Woods tomorrow!
After the lingering effects of Carnavas and Swoon stays fermented and familiar in our minds, it's almost time to let in an array of new sounds as the alternative rock band decide to try something new, as demonstrated by their latest single, "Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)":
8. The much awaited album from Beach House, Bloom, is materialised on May 11.
It has been too long since we last heard anything from Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally, otherwise known as Beach House. Well, the wait is almost over as they launch the follow up to critically acclaimed, Teen Dream. In the meantime, you can listen to their debut single "Myth" from the forthcoming Bloom here:
9. The Temper Trap's self-titled record is out on May 18.
Ever since The Temper Trap decided to drop the phenomenal "Sweet Disposition", the hit single has won them a few ARIA Awards for the category of Most Popular Australian Single and also Best Group, back in 2010. They are ready to rumble with a release of the new record and we couldn't be more thrilled!
10. Ladyhawke returns with her next LP, Anxiety, which is available from May 25.
With a slew of singles in progression from "Sunday Drive" to "Black, White & Blue," it is only a matter of weeks for Pip Brown until her album, Anxiety is unleashed upon us. In celebration of the upcoming LP, tickets for Ladyhawke's Australian Tour in July are available through Ticketek now!
