Making my way to SMASH! (Sydney Managa and Anime SHow!) on Saturday, I had no idea what to expect. Unless you count my many years of Pokemon watching or using Ouran High School Host Club as a procrastination technique during the HSC, I was very unfamiliar with the concept of a convention of the art form.

Maybe it was the hair colours, Mario Kart 64 or the chance to own my very own Gym Leader Badge, but by the end of the day, I was converted.
