Melbourne-based New Zealanders BONJAH are set to bring their blues infused rock ‘n’ roll sound to the stage at Surfers Paradise LIVE in just a week's time. From Friday 8th to Sunday 10th May, the Gold Coast will be buzzing with free shows from some incredibly talented Australian and international musicians. BONJAH’s bass player David Morgan chatted with the AU review about their upcoming performance and their music, as well as other exciting bands and artists attending the event.

Festival Review: Follow the Sun Festival - Wigley Reserve, Glenelg (05.10.14)

Dave Elmes, the founder of the new Follow the Sun Festival in Glenelg, needs to be commended. The new kid on the festival circuit in South Australia had its first run over the Labour Day long weekend and brought about the perfect excuse to spend a Sunday down by the beach, enjoying some great live music and general excellent vibes.

It was perfect weather on the long weekend for the first Follow the Sun Festival at Wigley Reserve on the foreshore at Glenelg. With a line up of quality Australian acts including Paul Dempsey, Bonjah and Dallas Frasca, it was a glorious day out for all the family. Paul Dempsey to headline the inaugural Follow The Sun Festival in Adelaide this October!

Adelaide is gaining a new festival to their music calender in the Glenelg-set Follow the Sun Festival! Event founder David Elmes runs the Watermark Hotel in the beachside area and has now been able to see his vision come to life with the October 5th event set to take place on the Wrigley Reserve. Headlining the first event will be Paul Dempsey and will feature many talents including Benjalu, Dallas Frasca and Bonjah.

The long arduous road of touring life doesn't phase Glenn Mossop. His band Bonjah has done it many times over before and intends to do it again in support of their latest album Beautiful Wild. As he tells Philippe Perez, it's all part of the territory.

Originals Music Festival releases 2014 line up!

The Originals Music Festival is the latest festival to head to the Sunshine Coast. The festival will feature performances from local acts across Australia. The Originals Music Festival will take place on September 13th at the Noosa AFL Grounds. The event will be all ages, involve two stages showcasing local Sunshine Coast musicians, alongside well-known Australian indie acts.

Album Review: Bonjah - "Beautiful Wild" (2014 LP)

From taking a one way flight to Melbourne eight years ago to touring internationally with headline shows, the Kiwi lads from Bonjah have put a lot of hard work into their sound which is clearly evident in their third studio release, Beautiful Wild. Every track exudes that bluesy rock fuelled confidence, with frontman Glen Mossop's signature vocals and the band's driving guitar making each hook electric.
