Skyfall – GO! – 8:30 pm AEST

Whether or not you are a James Bond fan, with Sam Mendes at the helm of Skyfall and Daniel Craig imbuing Bond with gritty realism, this film transcends the franchise while preserving its best elements. Bond’s loyalty to M (the always wonderful Judi Dench) is tested as MI6 comes under attack. It is up to Bond to destroy the threat. Within this archetypal Bond narrative, Mendes brings out the dark and personal elements in the story to great effect.

The Lincoln Lawyer – Ch. 9 – 9:45pm AEST

A legal thriller that is intelligent and witty; Matthew McConaughey stars as defence attorney Mickey Haller who works out of the back of his car. However, when rich client (Ryan Phillippe) pays for his services, Haller becomes dragged into a twisted plot that he’ll need to untangle himself from. McConaughey is as charismatic as ever, exuding confidence in every scene.
