Monday – 9th February 2015

Pitch Perfect, Ch. 7, 9:00pm AEST

This audience-pleasing musical comedy promises to brighten up your Monday evening and get your week off to a great start. The talented Anna Kendrick and always-hilarious Rebel Wilson star in this quotable tale of competing singing groups. Watch it to prepare for the highly anticipated sequel set to be released this year.

The Hurt Locker, Ch. 9, 9:30pm AEST

The Oscar-winning film, The Hurt Locker, deals with the complex topic of the Iraq War, controversial for its filmic treatment of torture. The tense thriller keeps up an almost unbearable level of suspense throughout, which is a testament to the directorial talents of Kathryn Bigelow. The film stars Jeremy Renner, Guy Pearce, Ralph Fiennes and Evangeline Lilly.

How To Get Away With Murder, Ch. 7, 9:00pm AEST (Pictured)

On the back of a highly successful award season, especially for lead actress Viola Davis, the critically acclaimed show is premiering in Australia. Davis plays Annalise Keating, a criminal defence professor with a complex personal life. Keating, along with her students, becomes entangled in a twisted murder plot. Davis’ electric performance is well supported by an excellent cast and a clever script, making How To Get Away With Murder must-see television.

The House of Hancock, Ch. 9, 10:15 pm AEST

Watch the Australian TV event that is The House of Hancock, the dramatized tale based on the true story of the Hancock Dynasty. Sam Neill plays Lang Hancock, the mining magnate, and Mandy McElhinney stars as his famous daughter Gina Rinehart. The telemovie depicts the battle that ensues as Hancock begins a relationship with his housekeeper Rose (Peta Sergeant) against Rinehart’s wishes.

Shaun Micallef is back and as mad as ever. His satirical comedy that deconstructs news and politics with zany flair will no doubt have a field day with the current political situation and the rumours of a leadership spill.
