The Odd Couple – Ch. 10 – 7:30 pm AEST

Tune into the pilot episode of The Odd Couple. Matthew Perry (of Friends fame) updates the classic Neil Simon play for a modern take on the Oscar and Felix narrative. Perry plays the slovenly Oscar with Thomas Lennon as the polar opposite Felix. The two must get along as roommates after Felix’s marriage breaks down.

Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala – Ch. 10 – 8:30 pm AEST

Hosted by comedy darling Joel Creasey, the festival gala features Australian and international comedy stars offering up their best material to raise money for Oxfam. Comedians including Dave Hughes, Kitty Flanagan, Fiona O’Loughlin, Nazeem Hussain and many, many more are set to appear for a night of sparkling wit and barrels of laughs.

Fatal Attraction – One – 9:30 pm AEST

Michael Douglas and Glenn Close star in this classic thriller that’s become synonymous with amorous obsessions. Close is terrifying as the sizzling siren, Alex, who terrorizes Dan (Douglas) after they have a one-night affair.

Girl, Interrupted – Ch.11 – 9:30pm AEST

Based on the true story of Susanna Kaysen, Girl, Interrupted explores Kaysen’s 18-month stay in a mental institution in the 1960s. She is locked up for symptoms seemingly in line with the usual angst of adolescence. Winona Ryder plays Kaysen’s character with heart and depth, while Angelina Jolie is dynamic as the sociopathic Lisa Rowe. The stellar supporting cast also includes Brittany Murphy, Elisabeth Moss, Jared Leto, Vanessa Redgrave and Whoopi Goldberg.

Inception – Go! – 8:30pm AEST

It was the movie that had everyone talking in 2010, and it’s about to hit your television screen to blow your mind all over again. Christopher Nolan creates a fascinating tale of a man who can creep into the dreams of others and steal ideas. As innovative as it is imaginative, Inception is a clever and thrilling film that deserves its critical acclaim. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the ideas thief, as well as Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy and Ken Watanabe.

Stop Laughing This Is Serious – ABC – 9:02pm AEST

Narrated by Eric Bana, the series tells the story of Australian comedy and features interviews with more than 60 stars that have made us laugh over the years, from Barry Humphries to Tim Minchin to Magda Szubanski. Interesting and amusing, the documentary is well worth a watch.
