Monday

Dirty Harry, Gem, 9:30pm AEST

One of Clint Eastwood’s best performances, Dirty Harry is a 1970’s classic. Eastwood plays tough cop Harry Callahan against Scorpio who is terrorising San Francisco. Worth watching for Eastwood’s threateningly delivered line, gun in hand, “You’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?”

Touching the Void, ABC 2, 10:05pm AEST

This critically acclaimed documentary tells the true story of Joe Simpson and Simon Yates and their disastrous attempt to climb Siula Grande. The difficult life and death decisions the climbers face make for a gripping watch, especially when Simpson has to make the hard decision to cut Yates loose.

Tuesday

Looper, Go!, 9.30pm AEST

The time-travelling Looper stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing a younger version of Bruce Willis’ character. Back in the past Gordon-Levitt takes care of the targets of the criminal organisations of the future. When one day he is sent to kill himself, the two must decide whether to work together or not and what follows is a somewhat confusing, but suspenseful action film.

Wednesday

Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell, ABC, 8:00pm AEST

Need to mix a dose of comedy with your news? Tune into Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell for a few laughs while hearing about the headlines.

The Chasers’ Media Circus, ABC, 8:30pm AEST

Magic Mike, Go!, 9:30pm AEST

Channing Tatum caused a stir when the film was first released, so enjoy the magic again on your television screen. Tatum stars as young stripper ‘Magic Mike’ in this entertaining film which features another stellar Matthew McConaughey performance as his mentor, Dallas.
