Watch the first official trailer for Goosebumps

Hey there childhood, how you doing? Did you know that there is finally going to be a film based on pretty much every book of the Goosebumps series?

The first full trailer for the long anticipated Goosebumps film has been released, and it’s full of footage that references some of the most classic novels in R.L Stine’s best-selling – and very long-running – series. Appearing as a playful adventure, the film creatively finds a way to bring in some of the most memorable characters/monsters from Stine’s mind including Slappy the Dummy (“Night of the Living Dummy”) and that giant steel ant thing from “A Shocker on Shock Street”.

Jack Black is most notable role here, playing what seems like an (unsuccessful) guardian to the magic that unleashes these various monsters into real life, leading to an adventure that seems to play similarly to Jumanji.

Watch the trailer below. You’re in for a scare.

Goosebumps will be released in Australian cinemas on December 26th 2015
