Twilight actor Kellan Lutz arrives in Australia this week for The Osiris Child

Best known for his role as Emmett Cullen in the Twilight Saga films, Kellan Lutz will be in Australia this week to attend the Gala premiere of the new sci-fi film The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One, at the 2017 Gold Coast Film Festival.

In addition to the premiere, Lutz will also pop into Supanova Gold Coast (22-23 April), Supanova Melbourne (28-29 April), and will appear at Osiris Child Q&As in Sydney and Melbourne from 24-27 April, ahead of the film’s release in May.

Co-stars Isabel Lucas (The Water Diviner, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), young newcomer Teagan Croft, Temuera Morrison (Moana, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones) and Australian director Shane Abbess (Infini, Gabriel) will also be joining Lutz at various Osiris Child appearances.

The sci-fi film also stars fellow Australian actors Daniel McPherson (TV’s City Homicide, upcoming A Wrinkle in Time), Rachel Griffiths (Hacksaw Ridge, TV’s Brothers & Sisters) and Luke Ford (Red Dog, Animal Kingdom). Set in the future in a time of interplanetary colonisation, Sy (Kellan Lutz), a mysterious drifter, meets Kane (Daniel MacPherson), a lieutenant working for an off-world military contractor, EXOR.

The unlikely pair must work together to rescue Kane’s young daughter (Teagan Croft) and reach safety amid an impending global crisis which was brought on by EXOR itself. Teaming up with a pair of renegades (Luke Ford and Isabel Lucas), Kane and Sy clash with EXOR in an attempt to escape while battling the savage creatures that roam the barren planet.

The film is released exclusively through Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas nationwide on 18th May 2017. Tickets to Supanova and the Q&A events are on sale now.
