The southern hemisphere’s greatest celebration of Indian cinema announces its guests

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is quickly creeping up on us and those who are putting “the southern hemisphere’s greatest annual celebration of Indian cinema” together have announced a number of India’s finest actors, directors, producers, designers, critics and singers as special guests.

The leading figures from the world’s biggest film industry will participate in a series of unmissable panel discussions, intimate In Conversation events, film introductions, Q&As, and performances during IFFM 2016.

The list of names you can expect to see are Leena Yadav (director of Parched), Anurag Kashyap (director of Paanch), Richa Chadha (star of Masaan), Rishi Kapoor (veteran writer, actor and producer in Bollywood), Rituparna Sengupta (actress and producer), Srijit Mukherjee (director of Autograph), Rajeev Masand (entertainment reporter), Shalmali Kholgade (singer and actress), Vidya Balan (acclaimed actress and festival ambassador) and Fawad Khan (star of Kapoor & Sons).

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne commences on Thursday, August 11 at Hoyts Cinemas, Melbourne Central and ends on Sunday August 21.
