It’s no surprise that Frank Castle stole the show on Netflix’s second season of Daredevil. Indeed, The Punisher is now set to receive his own spin off series on Netflix, with Jon Berenthal to reprise his role.
Writer and executive producer Steve Lightfoot who worked on the excellent Hannibal, will serve as showrunner.
While Marvel and Netflix have a grand plan with their series of shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist), and their culmination in The Defenders, there is no word on whether The Punisher will be a member or have any type of substantial role.
