The first full length trailer of Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk arrives, and it’s beautiful

The first full length trailer of Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming film Dunkirk was released today, giving Nolan fans a taste of what the filmmaker has done this time round. Known for his work in The Dark Knight and Interstellar, Nolan reveals a sharp and heart-thumping introduction to Dunkirk. The title has been shot using a mixture of IMAX® and 65mm film.

Previewing some scenes of the movie, it’s clear that hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are stuck in a war zone, finding themselves in a situation where they can no longer escape their enemies.

Already Dunkirk has a promising cast including the likes of Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy and Fionn Whitehead. There will also be appearances from Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan and Tom Glynn-Carney as the ensemble cast.

The film production will be done up by Nolan and Emma Thomas. Jake Myers is also undertaking role as executive producer.
