The British Academy Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) have now announced the long list of nominees for the 2015 award ceremony, which will be taking place on Sunday February 8th. Ahead of the pack is Wed Anderson and his exceptional The Grand Budapest Hotel with 11 award nominations, beating both Birdman and The Theory of Everything by just 1 nod. Other hot contenders include The Imitation Game and Richard Linklater’s ambitious Boyhood – which picked up Best Motion Picture, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the recent Golden Globe Awards – which boast nine and five nods, respectively.

The Leading Actor category is going to be a tough one to pick, as the pool of incredible talent includes Ralph Fiennes (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Michael Keaton (Birdman), and Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler)

Equally difficult is that of Leading Actress, with Gone Girl’s brilliant Rosamund Pike squaring off with Reese Witherspoon (Wild)), Julianne Moore (Still Alice), and Amy Adams (Big Eyes).

The ceremony will be hosted by Stephen Fry and will broadcast exclusively on BBC One and BBC One HD, preceded by a red carpet show on BBC Three. Full list of nominees are as follows:
