The 2016 Travelling Film Festival has announced its programs for Mackay and Toowoomba

Sydney Film Festival’s 2016 Travelling Film Festival is returning to Toowoomba and Mackay this October with a fantastic selection of international cinema and festival favourites.

A program of nine films (eight features and one documentary) has been announced for Toowoomba. The program includes Festival favourites Elvis & Nixon starring Kevin Spacey and Michael Shannon, Sydney Film Festival’s 2016 Sydney Film Prize winner Aquarius, Tickled, the competitive endurance tickling doco, Craig Boreham’s powerful queer drama Teenage Kicks, Oscar winning filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar’s Julieta, and delightful Spanish fable The Olive Tree.

For Mackay, a program of seven films (six features and one documentary) has been announced. It includes romantic comedy Up For Love starring Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Jason Bateman’s The Family Fang where he also stars alongside Nicole Kidman, and Cannes Film Festival winner The Salesman.

The 2016 Travelling Film Festival will hit Toowoomba on the 5-7 of October and Mackay on the 14-16 of October.
