Stranger Things and Marvel madness to hit Supanova Brisbane and Adelaide in November

One of the surprise hit TV shows for 2016 the Netflix 80’s infused sci-fi thriller Stranger Things had everybody talking. So when earlier this year Millie Bobby Brown was announced but then unfortunately had to postpone her first ever trip to Australia, fans were pretty devastated. However the Upside Down is going to hit down under with MBB being confirmed to make appearances at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming’s Brisbane and Adelaide expos in November.

Considering how hugely popular the show was, the timing of her appearance at the convention is cosmically aligned as the second season will be released to Netflix on October 27th. Not to mention that Brown has also just wrapped up working on Godzilla: King Of Monsters which is sure to be epic. So there’s no doubt that she will be considered a wildly popular guest on the lineup.

Speaking of huge and popular, the legendary man himself, Stan Lee, the godfather of Marvel will also be coming to visit, making an appearance at only the Brisbane convention. This is a bit of a coup considering that back in 2014 he came for the Sydney Supanova event and it had been hailed as his last ever trip to Australian shores. But nothing can keep the spritely nonagenarian from visiting his legions of comic and MCU fans.
Speaking of Marvel comics, joining the lineup will be Chris Sprouse, the American illustrator is currently working on the art for Marvel’s Black Panther comic series but best known for his work on the co-created title Tom Strong.

In our earlier article regarding guest announcements for the November tour, we mentioned there’d be a bit of a Buffy The Vampire Slayer reunion with both James Marsters and Nicholas Brendon on the lineup. They’ll now also be joined by fellow Angel (the BTVS spin-off) alum Christian Kane. Kane has also starred in Leverage and The Librarians and is also a musician, so there’s an excellent chance we’ll get to see him performing some of his own original songs too.

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming isn’t just about those film and TV stars though, there are also some great authors and comic artist making appearances too. Perpetual Aussie favourite science commentator Dr Karl Kruszelnicki will be bringing his rapid fire responses to science-y questions and his awesomely colourful shirts along. As well as Kass Morgan, best known for her post-apocalyptic novel series The 100 which ended up being adapted to a successful TV series.

Other TV, film and voice actor and comic and cosplay guests scheduled to appear include –
* Tyler Hoechlin (Supergirl, Teen Wolf)
* Graham McTavish (Outlander, Preacher)
* John Jarratt (Wolf Creek)
* Johnny Yong Bosch (Code Geass)
* Laura Bailey (Avengers Assemble)
* Travis Willingham (Fullmetal Alchemist)
* Dean Rankine (comic artist)
* Brian Herring (puppeteer BB-8, Star Wars The Force Awakens)
* Kamui Cosplay (author, international cosplay artist)

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is a celebration of all things pop culture, from film and television, to gaming and anime to authors, books, comics and cosplay. From guest Q&A panels, autographs and photographs. To master classes and workshops, table top game tournaments, wrestling and an entire expo floor dedicated to shopping for licensed and fan made merchandise and goodies.

Supanova’s November tour will hit the following locations –
