Stan Original Series Wolf Creek Announces Cast And Enters Production

Streaming Service Stan has announced its next original series, Wolf Creek, based on the 2005 feature film of the same name, and the series has today gone into production. Both creator Greg McLean and star John Jarratt are returning to the world of Wolf Creek in what promises to be a new, more modern interpretation of the legend of Mick Taylor. Described as a six-part psychological thriller, it is set in the same world as that of the movie, but things take a twist when 19-year-old Eve survives Taylor’s massacre and starts to rebuild her life by embarking on a mission of revenge.

Taking on the role of Eve is Australian actress Lucy Fry, who has previous acted in Vampire Academy and Mako: Island of Secrets. John Jarratt will reprise his role as serial killer Mick Taylor. Other outstanding cast members include Dustin Clare, Deborah Mailman, Miranda Tapsell, Jessica Tovey, Jake Ryan and Richard Cawthorne. Creator and Executive Producer, Greg McClean said, “I am thrilled to be collaborating with Stan and the Screentime team to bring Wolf Creek to audiences around the world. I’m excited to work with such a talented group of individuals and delve deeper into the dangerous world and character of Mick Taylor, once again portrayed by John Jarratt.”

Wolf Creek will be written by Peter Gawler and Felicity Packard, and directed by Tony Tilse and Greg McClean. The series will be shot in South Australia, and is set to premiere exclusively on Stan in mid-2016, with all episodes being made available at once.
