This year will see Australian SVOD service Stan bring out a sizable chunk of their original content, truly stepping up as their popularity increases across the country.
A unique function of this is the commitment to Australian stories and artists, the latest of which is being realised in the recently debuted One Night Stan. The six-part series gives six different Australian comedians a special of their own, rolling out each week as of the recent premiere of the first edition, which focuses on the wildly popular Wil Anderson.
For his own Stan exclusive special, Fire At Wil, Anderson has crafted a one-off feature-length stand up, filmed in front of a live audience, to highlight his remarkably witty style. This will be followed, in order, by Tom Ballard (The World Keeps Happening); Celia Pacquola (The Looking Glass); Sam Simmons (Stop Being Silly); Judith Lucy (Ask No Questions of the Moth); and Tom Gleeson (Great).
