Prime Video tease YA series adaptation Off Campus with first-look trailer

There’s a new college drama on the way – and if you’re into messy relationships, elite sports culture, and emotionally unavailable hockey players, this one’s already shaping up to be a binge.

Call it “straighted rivalry,” if you like, Off Campus taps into that same appetite for high-stakes love stories set against the hyper-masculine world of elite sport.

Prime Video has officially set a May 13th, 2026 premiere date for Off Campus, a series adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s hugely popular book series. All episodes will drop globally at once, giving fans the full, chaotic ride from day one. Alongside the announcement, we’ve also got a first teaser and a fresh version of the book cover featuring leads Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli – very much signalling the show’s glossy, romantic tone.

At its core, Off Campus leans into that classic “college soap” energy. It follows an elite ice hockey team and the people orbiting them, diving headfirst into love, heartbreak, identity, and the kind of intense friendships that tend to define your early twenties. Season one centres on the opposites-attract romance between Hannah (Bright), a quiet songwriter, and Garrett (Cameli), Briar University’s star hockey player – which, if you’ve read the books, you already know comes with plenty of tension.

The cast is stacked with familiar faces and rising talent, including Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, and Australian actor Josh Heuston, alongside Stephen Kalyn. Behind the scenes, creator Louisa Levy co-showruns with Gina Fattore, while Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen – no strangers to YA adaptations – are also on board as executive producers.

For fans of Kennedy’s work, there’s a lot riding on this. The author has built a massive following over the years, with more than 50 novels, millions of copies sold, and a global readership spanning over 25 languages. Off Campus is arguably her most beloved series – and now it’s getting the full streaming treatment.
