Ridley Scott has previewed footage of his upcoming biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, at the annual CineEurope presentation. As was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the director also treated a select group of theatre owners with a peek at the unreleased trailer alongside his preview of the film’s opening.

Exodus: Gods and Kings, which is set to be released at the end of 2014, promises to be quite a spectacle. Based on the Old Testament story of Moses leading the Israelites from Egypt, it stars Christian Bale as Moses and Joel Edgerton as Ramses. If you haven’t seen Australia’s own Joel Edgerton made up as the great pharoah you need to now. The stellar cast also includes Ben Kingsley, Sigourney Weaver, John Turturro and even – drumroll please – Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul.

Unfortunately Ridley Scott hasn’t released any footage for the general public to pore over, but hopefully this euro screening means we’ll get a taster soon.
