New For Honor trailer highlights the real heat of battle

For Honor has been looking like a guilty pleasure straight from its initial announcement at E3 last year. Vikings, Knights and Samurai? What’s not to like? Check out the all new Accolades Trailer below.

In today’s climate trend of gritty hardcore TV such as Game of Thrones, Vikings, Marco Polo and The Last Kingdom, it was only a matter of time before we got to indulge in this fantasy mash up. This game looks to try and set the shape of third person hack & slash. Swords, Axes, Hammers, Arrows. They had me at hello!

Its tactical combat system, known as “Art of Battle”, is introduced in the game. Players enter a dueling mode with another player wherein players aim at their opponent with their swords and can choose how to place and position their weapons when they are attacking. Players can choose from three directions, observing the movements of the opposing character, players can strike the weakest part of their enemies. Choosing the correct position can block the other players’ attack. The strength of each attack can also be decided by players. Sounds like some nifty strategy sneaking into a brawler game.
