Music streaming service Spotify is now requesting the company of gamers of all ages. They’ve just released a gaming channel that incorporates all styles of gaming music, from classic 80’s mono-tunes and retro synth themes, to modern day masterpieces played by popular orchestras.
Spotify are delivering an impressive mix of gaming music and soundtracks, all housed in a single category. There are curated playlists like Power Gaming, RetroWave and Top Gaming Tracks, as well as hundreds of gaming titles, covering everything from nostalgic 80’s mono tunes to the hottest new releases such as No Man’s Sky, Fallout 4 and Uncharted 4. Also included are exclusively curated guest playlists by gaming profiles like Day[9] and Sneaky Zebra.
To access the content, head to spotify.com/gaming and create your own personalised Gaming Playlist. My favourite so far is the GamesBeat’s playlist which includes some of my favourite video game themes and songs of the last 15 years. You just can’t go past the amazing Metal Gear Solid Sons of Liberty Theme.
The new gaming category is now available across all Spotify platforms, including iOS, Android, PC and PlayStation.
