Mr. Show is back! Well, just about. With Bob and David is coming to Netflix.

Just in time for the original series’ 20th anniversary, Mr. Show‘s Bob Odenkirk and David Cross are set to reunite on screen for the new Netflix series With Bob and David. It was officially announced last month that the pair have produced a brief four episode sketch series that is sure to have fans of the now classic HBO series pretty excited. In addition to the four episodes, a one hour making of special is also planned – similar to Hurricane of Fun, which was released alongside the eight episode series Wet Hot American Summer, .

Though this isn’t the first time the pair have worked together – they did some stage shows together with Brian Posehn under the Mr. Show guise back in 2013, for instance – it will be the first time they have worked together on a televised sketch show since the groundbreaking Mr. Show went off their air in 1998. The project was hinted about back in 2013, when they  said they had some big things planned for Mr. Show‘s 20th anniversary.  Though at the time this only seemed to indicate a larger tour than their 2013 six date run, it eventuated into something much bigger indeed…

Of course, both actors have gone onto big things since the series ended. Cross is best known these days for his role as Tobias Fünke in Arrested Development, while Odenkirk’s Better Call Saul has been one of the most popular series on TV this year. And today it will find out how many of its seven Emmy nominations it will take home. So there’s no saying if we’ll get to enjoy anything more from the pair than this brief run of shows amongst their busy schedules. But here’s hoping… and in the meantime, we at The Iris are just thankful we’re getting this at all.

No official release date has been provided, but Netflix expect the series to premiere before the end of the year.
