More sessions added for Kanye West’s album premiere event in Sydney and Melbourne cinemas

Whether it’s Swish or Waves, Chicago emcee-producer Kanye West will most definitely be released his highly anticipated new album on February 11th in the states (February 12th down here in Australia). Not one to do things by half-measures, the ambitious artist will be using Madison Square Garden as a platform to debut his album in an unprecedented, worldwide streaming event that has been picked up by various cinemas across Sydney and Melbourne for live screening.

Sharmill Films will present the world premiere, as West streams Waves in its entirety via satellite from the iconic New York venue, with a special performance by Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft.

The exclusive cinema event has been selling fast around the world, so more sessions have been added to keep up with demand. The following cinemas will be screening the event at 8am on February 12th.

**UPDATE**: A session has also been added for South Australia, reflected in the listing below.

  • Hoyts Broadway (Sydney)
  • Event Cinemas Parramatta (Sydney)
  • Event Cinemas George Street (Sydney)
  • Hoyts Melbourne Central (Melbourne)
  • Village Jam Factory (Melbourne)
  • Event Cinemas Marion (Adelaide)
