Magical new trailer for Pan has arrived

PAN

The infamous and beloved characters from J. M. Barrie’s series are brought back to the big screen in this live-action adventure film with a true magical heart.

Peter (Levi Miller) is a mischievous 12-year-old boy with an irrepressible rebellious streak, but in the bleak London orphanage where he has lived his whole life those qualities do not exactly fly. Then one incredible night, Peter is whisked away from the orphanage and spirited off to a fantastical world of pirates, warriors and fairies called Neverland. There, he finds amazing adventures and fights life-or-death battles while trying to uncover the secret of his mother, who left him at the orphanage so long ago, and his rightful place in this magical land. Teamed with the warrior Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara) and a new friend named James Hook (Garrett Hedlund), Peter must defeat the ruthless pirate Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman) to save Neverland and discover his true destiny—to become the hero who will forever be known as Peter Pan.

Pan is a completely new spin on the Peter Pan story by this time looking at Peter’s origins of how he came to Neverland and the people who he meets when he arrives in that fantasy world. We also get to see the beginnings of Hook before he became the pirate we all know, and new character Tiger Lily who looks like she’s part of a tribe of wildly colourful Amazonian types. Director Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride And Prejudice) has built a very whimsical, fantastical and magical world by the looks of it. It will be interesting to see if he can nail the origin story for this beloved character.

Pan is released in Australian cinemas on 24th September through Roadshow Films.
